Nepal's Condition Right Now - Should We Be Worried?

Published on April 11th, 2024 by Pankaj Bhatta

What's Going On?

Lately, the air in Nepal has been really dirty. You know how sometimes you can see smoke in the air? Well, it's kind of like that, but everywhere. This dirty air is called air pollution, and it's not good for us at all.

Why Is It So Bad?

There are a few reasons why the air pollution in Nepal is so bad right now:

  • Cars and Bikes: There are more cars and motorbikes on the roads. They release a lot of smoke and harmful gases.
  • Factories: Some factories don't have proper filters, so they release dirty smoke into the air.
  • Burning Trash: People sometimes burn their trash, which creates a lot of smoke.
  • Dust: Construction sites and unpaved roads create a lot of dust.

How Does It Affect Us?

Breathing in polluted air can make us really sick. Here are some of the problems it can cause:

  • Breathing Problems: It can make it hard to breathe and can cause asthma.
  • Heart Problems: It can increase the risk of heart attacks.
  • Eye and Throat Irritation: It can make our eyes and throats feel itchy and sore.
  • Long-Term Effects: Over time, it can lead to serious health issues like lung cancer.

What Can We Do?

Even though the situation is bad, there are things we can do to help:

  • Use Public Transport: Try to use buses or carpool instead of driving alone. This reduces the number of vehicles on the road.
  • Plant Trees: Trees help clean the air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen.
  • Avoid Burning Trash: Instead of burning, try to recycle or properly dispose of trash.
  • Support Clean Energy: Use solar power or other clean energy sources if possible.
  • Raise Awareness: Talk to your friends and family about air pollution and what they can do to help.

Should We Be Worried?

Yes, we should be worried, but we shouldn’t lose hope. If everyone does their part, we can make a big difference. Remember, it’s our planet and our health at stake, so let’s take action and make Nepal’s air cleaner and healthier for everyone.

Stay safe and take care of our beautiful Nepal! 🌱🌍

Thankyou so much !!
